NYS requires all motorized vessel operators, regardless of age, to hold a boater safety certification by
January 1, 2025.
All boaters born on or after January 1, 1978 are required to be certified by 2024.
*Personal Watercraft operators 14 years of age and older must have a Boater Safety Certificate. *
After completion of this entire eight-hour class and passing the written test, the certificate obtained will last a lifetime and meets the NYS Safe Boater Certificate requirements. Please bring drinks, a bag lunch, pen and pencil.
